They are born in the water, but once they are grown, they can live on land. They can excrete substances that are poisonous or that cause hallucinations. They’re just a weird animal.
Well, this fact takes that weirdness and dials it up to 11. Apparently, one part of being squishy little guys is that they can somehow move their eyes back enough to help them force food down as they are swallowing. That’s a mental image that’s going to stay with me for a long time.
