A Grandma Always Knows
Dementia is often very challenging for loved ones to navigate. If you have someone in your life with dementia, you know this all too well. This storyteller’s grandma had dementia, but it seems that she also had an uncanny ability to predict things before they happened. Our storyteller and their family wrote these predictions off as general confusion at first, but they soon realized it was something else.
For example, their grandma ominously asked her son if he was dying. What could have been dismissed as a scary dementia-induced question was soon proven right because one of his brothers passed away a couple of days later. On a lighter note, our storyteller’s grandma also knew they were flying home for a surprise visit before anyone else did. While these predictions were undoubtedly creepy, they were also kind of amazing.
