#25: Grover Cleveland (1885-1889 & 1893-1897)
Grover Cleveland made headlines during his presidency for vetoing legislation aimed at providing financial assistance to veterans, farmers hit hard by drought, and individuals with disabilities. The 22nd and 24th President of the United States focused on fiscal conservatism, vetoing numerous bills for government subsidies and pension increases.

He championed civil service reform and successfully lowered tariffs. Cleveland’s presidency was marked by economic challenges, including the Panic of 1893, which led to widespread unemployment and labor unrest, prompting his controversial decision to send federal troops to quell the Pullman Strike.
