#14: Bill Clinton (1993-2001)
Bill Clinton, a charismatic leader admired by many, set a new precedent in economic governance as the inaugural Baby Boomer president. Winning a second term as a Democrat for the first time since Franklin D. Roosevelt, Clinton carved a niche with his promising fiscal strategies, achieving the first balanced budget in years and securing a budget surplus amidst his tenure.
Despite securing a landslide in popularity and policy achievements, Clinton’s presidency faced turbulence in his latter years due to allegations about an affair with a White House intern. This led to an impeachment trial, casting a shadow over his accomplishments. Nonetheless, Clinton weathered the political storm, being acquitted by the Senate and leaving office with his head held high.
