#29: Julius Caesar’s Birth Via Cesarean Section
Despite the common belief associating the term “cesarean section” with Julius Caesar’s birth, historical records indicate otherwise. Caesar was purportedly born through natural means, while the origins of the C-section procedure trace back much earlier, around 715 BC.

However, before the advancements in medical knowledge and techniques during the 19th century, C-sections were perilous endeavors, often resulting in fatalities for both the mother and child due to the absence of antiseptics and anesthesia. It wasn’t until modern medical practices improved that C-sections became safer and more successful procedures for delivering babies in distress or when natural birth was not possible.
